Cette série de photographies est nommée « View finder » et s’initie dans l’errance et la dérive. Elle se constitue au fur et à mesure des déplacements et voyages de l’artiste.

Chaque photo correspond à un cadre vide trouvé dans le paysage. Ce cadre peut être une ancien support d’affichage vidé, le squelette d’une signalétique, une structure pérenne ou temporaire, etc…
Ce cadre délimite ainsi pour l’artiste une composition, dans laquelle n’y a que très peu de place pour sa subjectivité, ses choix, ses décisions… Bref tout ce qui est à la base d’un geste artistique. Il a toutefois des micro-espaces de liberté à la marge, et c’est exactement là-dessus que l’artiste travaille.

La série unifie les proportions hors-cadre / en-cadre. Pour mettre en avant le concept de ce travail, je crée une zone floue tout autour du cadre, comme s’il y a un effet-focus surnaturel.

This series of photographs, titled « View Finder, » originates from wandering and drifting. It takes shape gradually as the artist travels and moves.

Each photograph corresponds to an empty frame found within the landscape. This frame might be an old, emptied display stand, the skeleton of a sign, a permanent or temporary structure, and so on. This frame thus defines a composition for the artist, leaving very little room for their subjectivity, choices, or decisions—in short, everything that underlies an artistic gesture. However, there are micro-spaces of freedom at the margins, and it is precisely within these that the artist works.

The series unifies the proportions of what is inside and outside the frame. To emphasize the concept of this work, I create a blurred zone all around the frame, as if there were a supernatural focus effect.
