Arctique/Antarctique

Double installation sonore.
Avec la participation de David Lespiau et Brice Matthieussent.
Pour chacun des deux dispositifs, le moyen de diffusion est caché, le visiteur voit uniquement des sièges sur lequel il est invité à s’asseoir. Il peut alors écouter la diffusion continue d’un montage sonore composé d’une voix et d’un arrière-plan en son synthétique type « drone ». La voix est un montage de lectures d’un texte original, et de commentaires et réactions sur ce texte.
Un des textes parle de l’Arctique, il est lu et commenté par David Lespiau, poète et critique littéraire ; l’autre texte parle de l’Antarctique, il est lu et commenté par Brice Matthieussent, écrivain et traducteur.

Twin sound installation.
With the participation of David Lespiau and Brice Matthieussent.
For each of the two devices, the broadcasting medium is hidden, the visitor only sees seats on which he is invited to sit. They can then listen to the continuous broadcasting of a sound montage composed of a voice and a synthetic drone-type background sound. The voice is a montage of readings from an original text, and comments and reactions to this text.
One of the texts is about the Arctic, read and commented by David Lespiau, poet and literary critic; the other text is about Antarctic, read and commented by Brice Matthieussent, writer and translator.
