Art Critic Bot (le « Robot critique d’art ») est un logiciel qui produit, à des moments aléatoires ou à la demande, de fausses analyses sur l’art et les diffuse sur Twitter. Les différents tics stylistiques du genre sont convoqués et mélangés par le logiciel afin de générer un Tweet qui se situe entre le probable et le parodique.
Art Critic Bot fonctionne sur un ordinateur visible dans le lieu d’exposition. De temps en temps, il décide par lui-même de générer et tweeter une nouvelle phrase ; cependant le visiteur de l’exposition peut le contraindre à le faire, simplement en touchant l’écran.
Les phrases générées sont lisibles sur Twitter par tout abonné (“follower”) ; la dernière en date est affichée sur l’écran du PC du lieu d’exposition.
Art Critic Bot est actuellement en sommeil ; il pouvait être suivi sur Twitter (@art_critic_bot).
Piece of software which produces, at random intervals or upon request, false statments about art and sends them on Twitter. The different stylistic fads are summoned then blended by the software to produce a Tweet that lies between the probable and the parody.
The Art Critic Bot runs on a computer visible in an exhibition place. From time to time, it decides by itself to generate and tweet a new sentence; however it can be forced to work by the visitor by simply touching the screen.
The generated sentences can be read on Twitter by any follower; the latest one is displayed on the screen of the computer in the exhibition place.
